The Brazilians will play 100 Thieves next in Group A's deciding match for a spot in the playoffs.
The series began with both teams riding waves of momentum on Train. Gen.G got off to a great start on the Terrorist side but ran into problems after clinching the first five rounds, with Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato's saved gun and Yuri "yuurih" Santos's 1v1 clutch putting FURIA on the board, and the Brazilians remained in full control of the rest of the half.
Up against double digits, Damian "daps" Steele's men were back in the saddle on the back of another pistol round victory. This time, they converted it into a 7-0 start in the second half with Sam "s0m" Oh leading the way, but although the victory was at Gen.G's fingertips, it was FURIA who stood tall at the end with a 16-14 win on the opener.
Gen.G added the third pistol round to their name to kick off Inferno, but this time FURIA didn't take nearly as long to respond, taking over the half once they had guns in hand while Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo topped the charts.
With a 9-6 half in the bag, the Brazillian side went 0 for 4 in pistol rounds, as s0m clutched a 1v2 in the fourth, but FURIA were immediately back on track when they got the economy going, dominating the rest of the CT side for a relatively smooth 16-10 closing.
